error using html link from _layouts

Aug 6, 2012 at 4:30 PM

Salve!  I am trying out this solution.  I have some simple html code in /_layouts/mydir and when I attempt to load it, I get this error:

An error occurred for ContentLink https://my.domain.org/_layouts/mydir/myhtml.html: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
Now, I tried playing with permissions on that folder, and even tried allowing access for "everyone", but still get this error.  I see it is an ssl-related error, but this isn't cross-domain.  What can I do?

I ran into the same problem with SP2010, didn't try to resolve it, but rather used a standard doc-lib rather than deploying the file to /_layouts/ instead.

Ah, yes, but I want to reuse the same code in multiple places.  I don't want to use a doc lib.  I *want* to use _layouts, which is why I downloaded this solution.  Thanks for answering, however.

The solution advertises as being cross-site, but I don't find that to be so.  I put the file at https://my.domain.org/SiteCollectionDocuments/myhtml.html   and got the very same error.

I don't think this web-part works with ssl.
